HWMEM is a NPO(Non-Profit Organisation) exclusively supported by and reliant on the trust and respect of the community. It is this indelible community spirit that has sustained the organisation over the years in its facilitation of the less fortunate, the disadvantaged, the impoverished, the sickly and the unsheltered. 
In economic boom times, the Organisation had a steady stream of income through public donations.The recession has challenged many, and as expected, donations are fewer however more people find themselves in dire circumstances. Our prayers (duas) are for all but more particularly our duas are with those becoming increasingly desperate and hungry to the degree that some families are considering extreme irrational measures and means such as suicide, body-part donors, abandoning children or placing children in foster care or havens, theft and selling their souls on streets and unkempt places.
